Any Student who does not comply with the instructions in the Virtual Examinations Room will have his/her Examination canceled. If you are not in position to fulfil all requirements, you are advised to take physical exams instead. 

Required materials and devices

• Printed Examination Permit with your Photo
• Two electronic devices:
  • Device 1) Mobile device with working audio and video, capable of running the Zoom app.
  • Device 2) Laptop/Computer/Tablet for taking the examination via the E-Learning platform. This device doesn’t need to have a camera or audio capabilities
• Blank answer sheets
• All candidates will be required to register before joining the Virtual Examinations Room (Zoom link included on the Exams page, below these instructions) using their UTAMU student email address
• A candidate should have a stable internet connection and enough data for live video feed during the whole exam and for uploading their answers.

Overview of online remote examination proctoring

Students should ensure that they have access to the online Test/Examination page on the E-Learning platform.

A mobile being used for proctoring will be positioned so that the online invigilator will have a good view of (1) the student, (2) the second device the student is using to take the exam and the table, (3) the examination room, when required to a 360 view of the examination room. During the exam, video and audio of the proctoring device must stay on unless muted by the online invigilator. Student’s proctoring device camera and audio feed will be recorded by the university.
